“If you’ve got a problem… add oil”, this is donpasta’s motto, salentinian, poet cook, ecologist and gastro-philosopher.
Donpasta is a DJ-economist with a passion for gastronomy. “Food Sound System” is his first book, a philosophical manual for musical gastronomy, that became in a short while a cult book in Italy, to which followed “Wine Sound System” (preface by Paolo Fresu). Both books became multi-medial shows and projects successfully in tour in Italy, France and Spain.
Creator of important events for the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, Slow Food on film, Taormina Arte, Time in Jazz, Città del Gusto, Taste, Mescolanze Food Festival and Ravello Festival, Donpasta is among the promoters of “Soul Food”, an annual meeting about food, art and environmental sustainability in Rome, Florence and Toulouse. During the course of the years the project was joined by artists and personalities of culture and science, including Vandana Shiva.

He currently lives in Toulouse, working on his “Food Sound Circus” project.
